Going Forth by Day Music Inspired by Ancient Egypt is a full length program of music that is a celebration of ancient Egypt through a contemporary lens. This program includes four newly composed works by composer Andrew List including the world premiere of Three Hymns to Ra for Solo Viola and Going Forth By Day for Countertenor, Viola and Piano on texts from the Egyptian Book of the Dead, a set of 4000 year old ancient coffin scrolls.  Also included on the program is From The heart of ra for Viola and Piano and From The temple of Dendera: Twelve Etudes for Piano Inspired by the Egyptian Zodiac.
